Profile for Noah Carroll

Noah Carroll was the Carolina Hurricanes sixth-round selection in the 2016 NHL draft. Carroll is a defenseman who played for the Guelph Storm in the Ontario Hockey League in 2015-16. He is a strong skater with projectable NHL size and potentially a value pick with upside where the Canes nabbed him in the sixth round. Entering the 2015-16 season, he was projected to be a third or fourth round NHL selection but had a challenging season stepping into a first pairing defense role on a rebuilding Guelph team that struggled. He is a player whose stock could be much higher than his sixth round pedigree if he rebounds in the 2016-17 season.
