With the draft rapidly approaching, it is time to start naming names for who the Carolina Hurricanes select at the 2016 NHL draft.

Someone holler in comments or on Twitter if there is someone else who should be included in choices especially for #21 pick, and I will add him.
Go Canes!
I’m not sold on Gauthier, and it’s hard to know who will be left, but Kunin and Tufte are good options IMO
If Keller/Jost are gone at 13 then I want Bellows or Kunin. At 21 it just depends on who’s there. If Bellows/Kunin are gone then I like DeBrincat/Gauthier/Rubstov, but there should be a few good options leftover there so I’m not as picky about that spot unless Bellows/Kunin are still there.
See any value in moving up few slots from #21 to get into higher tier of forwards?
Where is cut line for tiers of mid-teens forwards and early 20s?
I haven’t heard, or read anything that would be definitive about any cutoff In the top 30 (after the 1st three)…
There are different type forwards interspersed in the 9-25 range, so size, speed, skills are more determining factors in selection than draft range. #21 should have some good choices to select from, imo.
I think it makes sense to move up if there’s someone in particular we really want or if someone falls. I would love to move up at both spots to end up with Keller/Jost and Bellows/Kunin/maybe Gauthier, but I don’t think I’d be willing to give up what it takes to move up both picks.
I’ve got the 1st round divided into 8 tiers covering 27 picks. Trading up from 21 almost doesn’t make sense unless Kunin is still there around #18. But by my calculations all of Jones, Rubtsov, and Gauthier would still be on the board as well. So I wouldn’t trade up as each of those offer something that the Canes need while projecting to all be solid NHL players.

I think pick #21 will be the key piece going the other way in a trade for our next top 6 forward–so I hope rf can get who he wants at 13.
