He is the son of former-NHLer Pat Elynuik who has made steady progress over the past few seasons with modest scoring totals in his first 2 seasons in the WHL before jumping to 44 points in 56 games last season. His size, skill and pedigree projects well in the NHL game if he can continue to develop.
