Having an Upper Deck Young Guns Rookie Card signifies that a player has made it to hockey card collectors. Upper Deck’s Young Guns series has taken many shapes and forms on its way to becoming one of the hobby’s most popular rookie cards since debuting in 1990-91. Today Young Guns have become one of the hobby’s best, non-autographed, non-serial numbered rookie cards. Their values have increased due to harder odds of pulling a desired player and parallels (Exclusives, Canvas, Team Canada, Retro) have added to the number of rookie cards available of each player. Upper Deck Young Guns are among the most iconic rookie cards in the history of the hobby, and one of the few base rookie cards to carry substantial weight.

Upper Deck has announced Noah Hanifin will have a Young Guns card in series 2 and there is a possibility that any of Jaccob Slavin, Brett Pesce or Brock McGinn could have one as well.
