I was away from PNC Arena/the TV for Saturday with family holiday stuff, so I have not yet seen the game. My hope is to do a doubleheader with the Blackhawks game followed by Saturday’s win over the Devils off the DVR on Sunday night in which case I will post some belated thoughts on the game.

Regardless of specifics, the biggest thing per my game preview was seeing if the Canes had 1 more push left to try to climb into the 2015-16 season before the 2015-16 draft lottery positioning officially started. I was also looking to see if the leaders could lead in this effort.

At least per the outcome and the stat sheet, Saturday was positive in this respect. First and foremost, the Canes bounced back from Tuesday’s loss to Washington with a 3-1 and at least on the score sheet, the leader was Justin Faulk with a goal and an assist.

I WILL ADD A FEW OF THE USUAL DETAILED COMMENTS ONCE I CATCH UP ON THE DVR HOPEFULLY SUNDAY NIGHT.

Go Canes!
