Profile for Hudson Elynuik (added 7/5/16 before prospect camp)

Hudson Elynuik was 1 of 3 players that the Carolina Hurricanes third round (#74 overall) in the 2016 NHL draft. Elynuik hails from the Spokane Chiefs of the Western Hockey League. He is a big, 6-5 203-pound center who also brings some skill and finishing ability around the net. He is the son of former-NHLer Pat Elynuik who has made steady progress over the past few seasons with modest scoring totals in his first 2 seasons in the WHL before jumping to 44 points in 56 games last season. His size, skill and pedigree projects well in the NHL game if he can continue to develop.
