With 10 games to go, here is a list of Canes chasing milestones:

Jeff Skinner: A final hot streak could push him to his third 30-goal season (needs 5 in games which is not outlandish for him especially since he is playing well) and 6 points gets him to 50 points.

Jordan Staal: He needs only 1 goal to reach 20. He did that 3 times as a Penguin. In his lone full season as a Hurricane (2012-13) he had only 15. (His other 2 seasons were shortened once by the lockout and once by injury.)

Victor Rask: His 41 points already beat the 33 that he had in his rookie season. A burst for 4 goals in the final 10 games would get him to an even 20.

Elias Lindholm: He needs 5 points to reach 40 and set a new career high and also 1 goal to get to 10.

Joakim Nordstrom: Nordstrom has already set a career high with 22 points, and needs only 1 goal to hit 10 on the season.

Eddie Lack: He has 11 wins and 12 losses thus far, so if he can win 2 more than he loses down the stretch, he would finish his first season in a Hurricanes uniform with a winning record.

Cam Ward: With 3 more wins, Ward would finish with 23 which would be his highest total since he had 30 wins in the 2011-12 season.

The kids on D: Noah Hanifin (17), Jaccob Slavin (15) and Brett Pesce (15) all have a shot at finishing with 20 points in his rookie season with a late push.

The team: With 76 points, the Hurricanes have already bettered their 71 points in 2014-15. With a late surge and 7-3 finish, the Canes would hit 90 points which would be an impressive gain and probably within 4-6 points of the playoffs.

Go Canes!
